AC&S Aerospace Consulting & Services GmbH has been known for 22 years for its competence and reliability in providing high-quality products and services in engineering, training, consulting and personnel leasing for the civilian and military aviation industry. The long-term valued business relations and contacts maintained with our customers and partners - also beyond the project lifecycle – prove AC&S GmbH to be a constant partner in the aviation industry.
In mid-November 2008, ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH, Furstenfeldbruck, acquired a one-hundred-percent stake in AC&S GmbH. The intention of both companies is to complement and strengthen their business fields with this acquisition to provide their customers with an even more comprehensive product and service range in future.
AC&S was founded in 1986 and employs together with its subsidiaries about 80 people. The company’s activities extend right across Europe, with successful national subsidiaries in Spain and the UK. AC&S GmbH with its subsidiaries will continue to be operated as an independent company within the ESG Group. Managing directors Dr. Hartmut Kräwinkel and Catherine Edwards will continue to preside over the company, while the remaining previous co-owners will continue working with the company in an advisory capacity. Peter Ratzinger, the deputy director of the ESG Business Area Air Vehicles, will reinforce the management of AC&S until mid-2009.
ESG specialises in the development, integration and operation of complex electronic and IT systems. The company regards itself as a neutral adviser on technologies and processes for surveys, concept development and comparative systems studies, undertakes product support tasks for its customers, and supports the operational capability of the systems through specially designed training courses. Among the customers of the ESG Business Area Air Vehicles are the Bundeswehr, the armed forces of other countries, government administration authorities, and industrial enterprises throughout Europe. The independent development and integration of new avionics systems constitutes a significant proportion of the activities in this Business Area. These systems are efficiently and cost-effectively developed and evaluated at a very early stage in an ultra-modern simulation centre. ESG is an EASA Part 21J approved aerospace development company and holds Bundeswehr certification as an aviation technology company for military air vehicles.
